Cado Security Launches Free Community Edition
Tool Ensures Everyone Has the Ability to Investigate and Respond to Cyber Incidents at Cloud Speed
LONDON – August 9, 2022 – Cado Security, provider of the cloud investigation platform, today announced a free Community Edition of its Cado Response platform. The Cado Response Community Edition leverages the scale and speed of the cloud to simplify deep dive investigations.
“We founded Cado Security with a mission to empower security teams with a smarter and faster way to investigate and respond to cyber incidents,” said James Campbell, CEO & Co-Founder, Cado Security. “Using traditional approaches, performing deep dive investigations is far too complex and time consuming. At Cado, we feel a duty to provide free tools and resources to the community to ensure everyone has the ability to investigate and respond to cyber incidents at cloud speed.”
The Cado Response Community Edition supports cloud-based processing and analysis of disk images captured in DD format and triaged items in ZIP format, including exports from popular open source forensics tools. With the Cado Response Community Edition, users can seamlessly navigate files and folders, view all activities performed on the system, and analyze captured evidence for threats or indicators of compromise.
The Cado Response Community Edition also provides an opportunity for learning. Cado Security regularly publishes sample data that can be imported into the Cado Response Community Edition for the purpose of educating incident responders on how to investigate attacks on cloud, container-based, and serverless systems.
“We hope the Cado Response Community Edition will increase collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst the security community by enabling security and incident response professionals to easily share artifacts, findings, and best practices.” Chris Doman, CTO and Co-Founder, Cado Security.
The Cado Response Community Edition is currently available on AWS and can be easily installed through a predefined CloudFormation Template. To learn more about the Cado Response Community Edition, please visit: https://www.cadosecurity.com/cado-community-edition/
